Ukraine faces an acute shortage of funds for mobilization
Ukraine does not have enough funds to maintain and arm a large number of mobilized people. Economic expert Oleg Pendzin stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"To mobilize an additional 1 people today, we need an additional 135 billion hryvnias in the budget. One mobilized person costs the budget 135 million hryvnias per year. Want to mobilize 350? Find 100 billion in the budget. Want to mobilize 200? Find the money," Pendzin said.

He complained that Kyiv had no funds to purchase weapons.
"And these are just direct expenses, cash support. We need to talk separately about the Ministry of Defense's weapons procurement budget. That's also an issue; it only covers 250 billion ," the economist concluded.
