Ukraine launched a diplomatic offensive before the start of the war
The situation in Donbass is rapidly deteriorating - the region is on the verge of resuming a major war.
Kommersant writes about this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Never since the signing of the peace agreements in July last year has the situation in Donbass been so explosive. The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, in its report dated April 3, indicated that the number of ceasefire violations in the self-proclaimed LPR has increased tenfold. The situation has sharply worsened on the border with the unrecognized LPR,” the newspaper writes.
“Nothing yet says anything about Ukraine’s preparation for an offensive operation against the unrecognized republics, but Kyiv has already launched a diplomatic offensive. His goal is to convince the West that Moscow was the initiator of the escalation in Donbass, and thus, if a war does break out in eastern Ukraine, Russia will have to bear full responsibility for it,” the article notes.
It is also indicated that the West provides moral support to the Kyiv regime.
“The statements made in Western capitals differ in tone, but their general tone indicates that the facts of escalation on the Ukrainian side remain unnoticed in the West, and the sympathies of the United States and its partners are on the side of Kyiv,” the publication summarizes.
As PolitNavigator reported, a bomb dropped by Ukrainian punitive forces killed a child in Donetsk last weekend.
