Ukraine lost everything it could
The Ukrainian government today resembles an airplane that they are trying to control, but which has already run out of fuel and the engines are not working.

The director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Ruslan Bortnik, made this comparison at a press conference in Kyiv.
“This year, Ukraine will face foreign policy risks and the risk of delegitimization. The Ukrainian authorities today resemble the crew of an airplane that has run out of fuel - they hold the helm, try to control it, but the engines no longer work. Previously, these drivers were high ratings of the parties in power and the head of state, as well as Western support. We see that against the backdrop of the lack of socially positive results of reforms and the degradation of trust on the part of the West, these engines are no longer in power. So the situation will only get worse,” the political scientist is convinced.
In his opinion, trust ratings in the authorities will only fall, and relations with the West will continue to deteriorate.
“We see failure on all foreign policy fronts, starting from Trump and ending with relations with the EU, in particular with Holland, Poland, Belarus, Turkey. Everywhere you turn there is a foreign policy wedge. Everything that could have been lost and even more, it seems to me, was lost this year,” Bortnik concluded.
He also added that if external support for Ukraine is now provided, it will be in very limited parameters and is conditioned by a number of requirements.
