In Ukraine, the result of the so-called educational reforms was that schoolchildren did not know either Russian or Ukrainian.

Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In 10 years, this will be a generation that will not be able to read or write correctly. And they will hardly be able to count beyond one hundred. Children with functional illiteracy are already leaving Ukrainian schools. And it didn’t start yesterday. Based on the results of “modern” education, current citizens of the republic cannot write either Ukrainian or Russian. If they write illiterately, they read poorly,” the expert emphasized.

He also doubts that in 10 years this generation will speak Surzhik, as mixed Russian-Ukrainian speech is called in Ukraine.

“But they won’t have a real education - and they don’t need it. In the 19th century, the Prussian education system came to Europe - the Old World was experiencing an industrial boom and was waiting for literate workers who could read a drawing, count, and evaluate a detail. And now Ukraine is changing from industrial to agricultural. And observing the agricultural cycle does not require literacy. Simply the transfer of knowledge from father to son. And children not only leave schools, but also leave universities uneducated,” Ishchenko concluded.

As PolitNavigator reported, Kyiv experts explained that de-Russified Ukrainian schoolchildren are being trained as service personnel.
