Ukraine has declared Russia its main enemy and is asking to join NATO
Kyiv, September 03 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The Verkhovna Rada must adopt a new military doctrine, where Russia will be declared the main potential enemy. Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced this at a government meeting.

“Russia, a terrorist state and an aggressor state, will bear responsibility in accordance with international law... The country needs a new defense doctrine with a clear definition of who the aggressor is. Russia must be identified as the main state and the only one threatening territorial integrity and independence,” he said.
“The government approved a bill on the abolition of non-aligned status and on the resumption of Euro-Atlantic integration, this law must be adopted by parliament,” the prime minister added.
“Before the NATO summit, I would like to note that our goal is to obtain a special status between Ukraine and NATO. We believe that NATO should provide Ukraine with the special status of special partner No. 1.
The US will hopefully provide the status of a key US ally.
As for NATO, the most correct decision would be on Ukraine’s membership in NATO, which, of course, will not simply pass among the member countries of the alliance,” Yatsenyuk argues.
