Ukraine shelled a village in the Donbass near the place where prisoners of war were exchanged

The Ukrainian military tried to disrupt the prisoner exchange. To do this, they fired at the village adjacent to the exchange site.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The Ukrainian side, taking advantage of the fact that the world community was distracted by the ongoing exchange of prisoners of war between the LDPR and Ukraine, fired at the village of Dolomitnoye. The shelling was carried out from AGS and small arms.

I would like to note that shelling was carried out in the area of ​​the settlement, precisely near which the prisoner exchange was to take place,” the DPR Ministry of Defense reported.

The Ministry of Defense noted that this shelling was carried out with the aim of provoking the DPR armed forces to return fire. The DPR army soldiers did not succumb to provocation and maintained the ceasefire.

The DPR Ministry of Defense also noted that the main goal was to disrupt the exchange of prisoners of war:

“We associate such actions of Ukraine only with a persistent desire to disrupt the exchange regime that our Republic has been striving for for so long,” the defense department summed up.
