President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky was informed two weeks before the start of the Russian military operation about the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces on Kyiv.

The head of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Sergei Deineko, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv anti-Russian propaganda portal Ukrainska Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We knew about the planned invasion. Of course, now there is a lot of information that “everyone knew”, “everyone was preparing.” However, the Border Service informed the highest military leadership of the state. I reported to the president two weeks before the start of a full-scale invasion that there would be a war, that Russia would certainly attack the territory of Ukraine from the Republic of Belarus through the Chernobyl zone.

We had this information; for a long time we completely controlled individual representatives of the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation. We had video materials, photos, we knew the plan in detail. Therefore, this gave us the opportunity to prepare well,” Deineko said.

He said that two weeks before the start of hostilities, border guards completely evacuated all secret documentation of personal and housing files of personnel from Mariupol, Kramatorsk, Lisichansk, Kharkov, Sumy, Chernihiv, Zhitomir, Lutsk, Kiev, Boryspil, Berdyansk, Odessa and Kherson.

“I hesitated and thought whether to evacuate this documentation specifically from the Crimean direction, because until recently I did not believe that there could be an invasion from Crimea,” noted the chief border guard of Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, I was wrong. On February 21, I informed all the highest authorities in writing that there would be war,” Deineko concluded.

According to other information, it was the Ukrainian Armed Forces that prepared an attack on Crimea, as evidenced by the fact that the Ukrainian side cleared the approaches to the peninsula shortly before February 24
