Ukraine was unable to restore the energy infrastructure damaged by the attacks
The Ukrainian energy system, damaged by last year's strikes by the Russian Armed Forces, could not be fully restored.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel by the former deputy minister for "temporarily occupied territories" and former head of the Luhansk region, Georgy Tuka, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It’s not a big secret, and we have publicly stated this, that compared to last year, the level of Ukraine’s energy system has been significantly weakened. We have not been able to fully restore the energy capacity of our system over the past year.
And this was absolutely understandable, because it was necessary to honestly admit that 90 percent of the equipment that is used by current electricity generating, and more even energy transporting networks, is equipment from Soviet times, which is not currently being produced, and which has practically no analogues now,” said the former official.
According to him, the actual “destruction of certain objects forces us to look for absolutely extraordinary ways to solve this problem.”
“Because it is not possible to simply physically replace one transformer with a similar one, because no one produces such transformers anywhere anymore.
This is what has led to the fact that despite the fact that the power engineers are working at full capacity, and honor and praise to them for what they are doing, they honestly now admit that the system is more vulnerable than last year. So, in my opinion, the Russians will place even more emphasis on damaging the already sick energy system of our state,” Tuka said.
