“Ukraine and Russia are approaching war”
The Russian government allegedly does not want to recognize the Ukrainian state as equal to itself.
The leader of the Yabloko party, Grigory Yavlinsky, announced this during the Federal Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The liberal believes that the Russian Federation is to blame for this, which does not recognize the sovereignty of Ukraine and its “national identity.”
“The real danger of war. Not small, not hybrid, but big and real. With this Black Sea episode, Russia came close to open war, in particular, with Ukraine. I want to say that this is criminal. This is not only criminal in itself, but it is also highly contrary to Russia’s national interests,” said the opposition politician.
In his opinion, the conflict with Ukraine fundamentally contradicts Russian national interests.
“The roots of this problem, let’s be honest, are in the Kremlin’s desire to put Kyiv under control and limit the sovereignty of the neighboring state. These are modern imperialist attempts. The roots of this problem are in the chauvinism of the so-called elite. What chauvinism is is a refusal to recognize Ukrainians and Ukraine as equals. This is a refusal to recognize their state as the same as Russia. These are denials of their national identity,” Yavlinsky said.
He previously stated that if he became president, he would ban aid to the LPR and DPR , and would also facilitate the deployment of UN peacekeepers to Donbass.
Before this , he declared that Crimea is not Russian territory.
