Kyiv, April 01 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukraine purchases 500 thousand tons of coal monthly from the DPR. Energy Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Demchishin stated this at a briefing at the Ukrainian Crisis Center.

He assures that money for coal is transferred to enterprises registered in Ukraine and goes towards salaries of miners.

“We buy anthracite coal. And at the moment it is supplied to Ukrainian territory in quite large quantities. This is at least 500 thousand tons of production per month from this zone. Considering the logistics capabilities and reserves that these mines have,” Demchishin said.
