Ukraine hits the dam to leave residents of the DPR without water
The Ukrainian army is deliberately attacking the dam and Gorlovka filter stations in order to leave city residents without water.
Gorlovka Mayor Ivan Prikhodko stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“With manic persistence and persistence, they continue to hit the dam of our only reservoir that remains, which now feeds Gorlovka; there is not much water left there. You know what the situation is with our water.
It’s good that it’s practically impossible to smash it with artillery. This structure is, in principle, ground, quite powerful, it was built back in Soviet times, the communists knew how to build and what to build for centuries. Therefore, thank God, she protects us, but every day from morning to evening they hit the dam. It is clear, clearly visible and understandable.
They are mainly targeting filter stations, because if we now lose one of the two filter stations, then the word humanitarian catastrophe can be spoken loudly,” Prikhodko said.
