Murders, robberies, walking the streets is dangerous: The fruits of Euromaidan in Kyiv

In a fit of criticism of former allies on the Maidan, who turned into competitors, preventing them from returning to the trough, representatives of Oleg Tyagnibok’s “Svoboda” party spilled the beans about the results of the “revolution of dignity” for Kyiv.

Ukraine has slipped into the 90s in terms of crime rates, and the new “reformed” police are unable to fight crime. Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Ilyenko stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We have a catastrophic situation with violent crime, we have a catastrophic situation with murders, car thefts, burglaries, robbery, all types of crimes against property, against people and so on. Today, indeed, we are sliding towards the 90s, and walking down the street is very often dangerous. The level of crime detection has decreased, and people do not feel safe,” Ilyenko said.

His party comrade, head of the Kyiv branch of the VO “Svoboda” Petr Kuzik emphasized that the number of crimes has increased so much that they began to hide statistics: “The situation with the police has deteriorated catastrophically. Zero professionalism. I understand that the training period is short, they cannot master either physical or fire training. The number of crimes is now going through the roof to such an extent that they are being hidden. If you are interested, information on car thefts is closed. Previously, 10 thefts a month was an emergency for the city. Now for the region, 30-40 car thefts per month are the norm.”
