Zelensky is looking for ways to beautifully and quickly take over local councils throughout Ukraine
The Office of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is currently developing various options for calling early local elections in Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was reported by the Legitimny telegram channel with reference to its own sources in the Presidential Office.

“This will either be a new bill, according to which the president can call early elections of local councils and city heads, or they will selectively “hit” problem regions in which they will not be able to “bend” deputies and mayors to their favor. Such a bill could be one of the first to be adopted for holding local government elections in November,” the publication says.
According to Legitimny’s sources, after the recent scandal in the Odessa regional council, where the president’s team managed to thwart a plan for the negotiated distribution of leadership positions between influence groups focused on Viktor Medvedchuk and Petro Poroshenko, a group of experts continues to convince Zelensky that his initiatives will be slowed down locally , and the old local authorities will become a big headache for the central government.
“The IVK group (Igor Kolomoisky – Ed) represented by the head of the OP Andrey Bogdan is in favor of rebooting the entire regional government, which wants to remove the mayors of Kyiv and Dnieper in order to gain absolute power,” Legitimny’s sources add.
