Mejlis members have no right to demand the creation of even virtual autonomy in Crimea. This was stated by the presidential candidate of Ukraine, representing the united nationalists, “Svoboda” member Ruslan Koshulinsky.

On the Espresso TV channel, he stated that if he comes to power, he will prohibit the creation of various types of autonomy for “national minorities” and “indigenous peoples,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We are a unitary country. And we will no longer make the same mistakes as the previous government made regarding changes to the territorial structure in a unitary country. The powers we have today are enough to avoid falling into the same rake again.

As for the protection of national minorities and indigenous peoples, I was the author of the bill on national minorities. And my bill was very approvingly supported by representatives of the Majlis. All issues that relate to their relationship with the central government and identity were taken into account in this bill,” Koshulinsky said.
