According to him, the position of the Rada is that “any documents emanating from the State Duma of Russia, any laws, even signed by the President of the Russian Federation, are illegitimate.”

At the same time, Aryev clarified that this applies to State Duma deputies elected according to party lists, since “any party that is represented in the Russian Duma was also elected by the votes of Crimeans.”

“Although the situation with majority shareholders is different,” the publication’s interlocutor clarified. – We cannot but recognize those majoritarians who were elected on the territory of the Russian Federation. We do not recognize only the majoritarians of Crimea. Therefore, we will recognize those proposals that will come to PACE from a specific person, but we will not accept those that come from the State Duma as an institution.”

The deputy was also asked what Ukraine’s reaction would be if the Russian presidential elections were also held on the territory of Crimea.

“Yes, in this case we will not recognize the presidential elections,” Arev promises. - How else?
What part of the newly elected Russian president will be illegitimate? Finger? Hand? Foot? Or the brain? We cannot divide a person. This is the same principle that we profess in the State Duma.”
