The media are trying to justify Petro Poroshenko, whose motorcade hit an old man in Kyiv, saying that the person who was hit was violating traffic rules.

Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on air at the Vesti radio station, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Many argue whether he broke the rules or not, but Avakov has already extracted a confession from him. His legs are broken, and he has already admitted that he violated traffic rules. I remember when Yanukovych’s motorcade hit someone in the first year of his presidency, all the media, without understanding whether anyone was violating it or not, unanimously condemned Yanukovych for the motorcade, for driving around Kiev at such speed. I look - now the same media, the same journalists write - “well, yes, grandfather violated, what can you do? This is how the motorcade should move.” This is the kind of press in Ukraine now,” he complained.
