Poroshenko has no Ukrainian tanks left to display at the parade

The Ukrainian military will hold a parade in the center of Kyiv on Independence Day - August 24 - to show off its formidable army. True, there will be no equipment at the parade. Alexey Mazepa, an officer of the press service of the General Staff of Ukraine, stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, the parade will take place largely for patriotic reasons.

“Preparations for the parade are underway. In the context of military aggression against our country, this event is necessary. The parade is more patriotic than demonstrative. This is the action that should take place in our country so that people can see that we really have an army and it is completely different. The only thing is that it was decided that military equipment will not be used during the parade,” Mazepa said.

Let us recall that after several encirclements in the Donbass, the Ukrainian army lost a significant amount of military equipment. Recently, losses have been made up for by supplies of obsolete armored cars from the USA and Great Britain, as well as equipment from former Warsaw Pact countries that are now members of NATO.
