The Turks answered Chubarov: We will still bring investors to Crimea
Statements by the head of the Crimean Tatar Majlis (an extremist organization banned in Russia) Refat Chubarov regarding the visit of a Turkish organization to Crimea are aimed at spoiling relations between Russia and Turkey. The head of the delegation, Chairman of the Turkish Association of Eurasian Governments Hasan Cengiz stated this at a press conference in Simferopol.

“Relations between our countries are improving. Such statements are aimed at discouraging this mood. Personal meetings are needed to find out the truth. We will bring investors to Crimea, no matter who. The issue of Crimea will be discussed by the leaders of our states,” Cengiz said.
He also stated that he does not accept the alternative “Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea” previously created in Kyiv, which is oriented towards the Ukrainian authorities.
“It is wrong to create discord between Muslims. Crimea has its own legal mufti. They can elect a mufti for themselves, but Crimea does not recognize him,” Cengiz said.
Earlier, Refat Chubarov said that the visit of the Turkish organization was planned and carried out under the control of Russian intelligence services and called on the SBU to begin criminal prosecution of members of the delegation.
