“As of 8:30 on January 21, fighting in the city has not stopped, the work of heavy guns can be heard throughout the city,” the mayor’s office noted.
On social networks, the militias say that the fog makes it difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to adjust, so the strikes are carried out in areas.
“We are receiving numerous reports of tripwires, and sappers are going out to clear the mines. In the suburbs there are battles for every meter of land,” they write.
In turn, the ATO forces claim that they control the situation and blame the militias for the shelling. According to security officials, units of the Armed Forces continue active operations at the Donetsk airport. “From 18:04, in the Luhansk, Debaltsevo and Donetsk directions, terrorists from the BM-21 MLRS fired at Krymskoe four times, Nizhneteploe, Tonenkoe, Peski twice, as well as Nizhne and Trekhizbenka once each,” the ATO press center reports, noting that at 00.10 a clash occurred near Marinka.
