“Cowardly and rogue position” - Belarus increased fuel supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The largest Belarusian oil refinery, the Mozyr Oil Refinery, won the tender announced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the supply of diesel fuel to the Ukrainian army.
Retired Colonel of the Central Office of the Ministry of Defense Vladimir Trukhan spoke about this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Specifically, the Mozyr Oil Refinery won the tender for the supply of diesel fuel for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The tender that was announced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” he said.
Also on air were screenshots of both Belarusian and Ukrainian sites reporting this news.
Yuri Voskresensky, who serves the Belarusian authorities, was unable to clearly explain how supplies for the punitive operation are combined with the status of a union state with Russia. He began to talk about “multi-vector” and, in general, that war is war, and business is separate.
“For the Chernigov garrison, maybe. Or for Kharkovsky. It’s not necessary that it’s in that region (for the war in Donbass – editor’s note)…
Belarus is a huge country with a large economy. We are forced to trade with all countries of the world. If anything, we can sell rapeseed oil, they will make biodiesel from it - this can also be presented as sponsorship.
Since we have a multi-vector economic system, we are forced to sell to all countries of the world, including Ukraine. If some of this fuel goes somewhere further to the east, then what does Belarus have to do with it? What, not deliver and not receive? We have our own citizens, our own budget,” Voskresensky justified the actions of the authorities.
“Do you know that there are also people on the other side, and they are also dying? Therefore, a competent position is to try it on. Because there are the same people there, on both sides. And the way out is to sit down at some kind of negotiating table and draw up road maps. And we all the time look at the dead on the one hand - and on the other hand, that there are no dead,” he began to stand up for the Ukrainians.
However, he could not answer the question of how many children and civilians died from shelling by Donbass defenders.
“I don’t know statistics. I only know the general one - they said that about 15 thousand died during this conflict,” Voskresensky added.
To this, Vladimir Trukhan noted that civilians are dying only from the LDPR side.
“For some reason, out of 15 thousand, the civilian population died only on the LDPR side. Let’s stop speculating about this,” said the retired colonel.
“Belarus’ position is balanced – we need to look for common ground. You talk about your children, and the Ukrainians talk about their children, and also show these footage,” the Belarusian continued to stand his ground.
However, Voskresensky could not remember a single fact of the death of a child from shelling by LDPR soldiers.
“The position of Belarus is cowardly and rogue,” Trukhan concluded.
