He admitted that trolleybus management is in a stage of stagnation, so drastic measures are needed to solve this problem. And Moscow has provided such money for Sevastopol.
“Of course, trolleybus management is currently in a stage of stagnation, we are absolutely convinced of this. And it needs to be reformed quickly, otherwise our famous public transport, which has served our population faithfully for so many years, may stop. Moscow helped us in this even in the years when Sevastopol was part of Ukraine and now. Moscow allocated more than 10 trolleybuses in the form of assistance, which are already partially on the line today, and partially are preparing to leave. But this doesn't help the situation.
Therefore, our city and the trolleybus department entered into a program to update our trolleybus fleet. And next year and the next two years until 2017, we will buy 111 trolleybuses. This will solve the issues of transportation of our preferential categories, this will solve the issue of launching new lines. This money is provided by the government of the Russian Federation for 3 years. Those. We will begin purchasing several dozen trolleybuses next year. In total, 111 trolleybuses will be purchased, and then the situation on the street will be happier,” Litvinov promised.
