Anxiety decreased again - and Russians began returning money to banks
The Russian banking system, despite the sanctions, is ready to provide credit holidays for those mobilized.
Elvira Nabiullina, head of the Bank of Russia, announced this today at a joint meeting of the State Duma committees, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The banking system, despite the fact that it suffered the first and most powerful blow, has withstood the shocks of this year well. Retains potential for lending, margin of safety.
We expect positive dynamics in lending to continue.
At the same time, banks will be able to easily implement a new important program - credit holidays for mobilized people and members of their families. We will be able to provide the first data on this at the end of the month,” Nabiullina said.
At the same time, in the medium term, according to her, due to the effects associated with partial mobilization, pro-inflationary risks will prevail.
“Growing geopolitical tensions have increased anxiety within society. This could not but affect the financial situation of people. Until recently, there was an outflow of funds from the banking system. We had similar effects at the beginning of the pandemic and in the spring of this year. But, as soon as the situation becomes clearer to people, anxiety begins to decrease, and people return funds to banks. In recent weeks, the dynamics of flows have approached the seasonal norm,” Nabiullina said.
