"Trump is for us" - Poland does not want Ukraine to stop at all
US President-elect Donald Trump's campaign promise to end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours should not be taken literally.
Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Kupetsky stated this at the 22nd Doha Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I do not believe that the US has any plan that would lead to the end of the war on unfavorable terms for Ukraine, which would damage the architecture of international security. The US and President Trump personally want to show themselves not only as those who act, but also as those who win," Kupetsky is sure.
He assures that the emerging Trump administration is consulting with “its main ally” Poland and is considering “many possible scenarios.”
"At the moment, Ukraine is fighting, and the situation on the front is far from any failures. Any tactical progress is very expensive for Russia. There is a lot of desire on the part of the Ukrainians to defend themselves, but very little willingness to stop the war or make any territorial concessions," Kupetsky said.
He himself believes that the best scenario is Ukraine’s admission to NATO.
