The assertion that opposition blogger Alexei Navalny is rocking Russia in the interests of the West is convenient from a propaganda point of view, but not complete. There are forces in Russia that control the actions of the Navalists in order to come to power.
The blogger’s lawyer, a woman of “great intelligence” Lyubov Sobol, was the first to let slip that the protests are just an attempt to force the authorities to capitulate. “If I were them, I would think about what is better: an uncontrollable crowd or people with whom you can talk,” Sobol told the liberal Dozhd TV channel.
The controversial political scientist Valery Solovey quite clearly formulated what they want to talk about with Putin.
“A good strategy would be the following: Vladimir Vladimirovich is preparing a successor, what he really thought about, the successor comes, and a thaw begins. As part of this thaw, Alexey Anatolyevich, if, God forbid, he is suddenly imprisoned, is released, and Vladimir Vladimirovich himself leaves to live in another country, and there is already such a country that is ready to accept him. I won’t name it, but this country exists,” Solovey said in an interview with the YouTube channel “AnalitikTV”.
Previously, he confidently stated that Putin would be replaced by “by no means illiberal forces.” That is, Nightingale has an idea who it will be. He is believed to be the "cistern" of someone in power. True, all the forecasts of this political scientist consistently do not come true, so it is possible that his sources are not so influential and informed.
On the other hand, literally everyone spoke about the fact that Navalny has patrons in the Kremlin: from patriots to liberals. The blogger served his suspended sentences in criminal cases too freely, while committing numerous administrative offenses and traveling abroad. And his “investigations” were more like not journalistic research, but more like “leaks” of some high-ranking officials against their competitors.
“We saw very little of Sechin in Navalny’s investigations. And we saw his opponents very often. As soon as Sechin disliked someone, be it Medvedev or Chemezov, Navalny had materials that discredited these people. I don’t blame him for this at all, because a revolutionary uses all the materials that are in his hands,” Vladimir Pastukhov, a researcher at the University College of London, recently shared his observation on the air of the liberal radio station “Echo of Moscow.”
It may not be the head of Rosneft who patronizes Navalny and wants to overthrow the president with his hands, but in any case, the Kremlin knows very well who is really puppeteering the arrogant blogger. This was also acknowledged by Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the dumping of compromising material against Putin and his family that preceded Navalny’s latest “investigation.” By the way, at the same time, the same Nightingale declared left and right that the President of the Russian Federation was mortally ill and was preparing to leave.
The Kremlin knows its enemies and prepared ahead of time for their attack. This is precisely what can explain the shock series of laws, called “draconian” by liberals, adopted at the initiative of the executive authorities on the eve of the New Year. These laws have now made it possible to partially block campaigning for rallies on social networks, and in the coming days they will result in specific criminal cases against Maidan activists.
The systemic opposition in the Duma was desperately indignant at the new bans, and only the Socialist-Revolutionary Oleg Nilov suggested that the authorities honestly admit that these are “wartime laws” and outline the timing and goals of this war. The war, as we see, has begun.
Professor Dmitry Evstafiev hinted that the Kremlin has already dealt some kind of secret blow to its enemies, Navalny’s patrons. This explains his determination to finally jail the blogger.
“Yes, the era seems to have ended. Well, after one quiet resignation it was almost clear. But “almost” is a very dangerous word in Russian. But this is an important step by the authorities and an even more important signal. A good signal,” Evstafiev wrote a week ago.
Thus, there is a secret enemy who is well known to the Russian authorities and the political service close to them, but his name is not mentioned, leaving the people, who mostly support Putin, in complete ignorance.
Is this strategy correct, if we admit that the Saturday actions of the Navalists were, rather, successful? First of all, due to the huge geographical coverage of a wide variety of regions. And this testifies not so much to the power of Navlny’s headquarters, but to the claims against the regional authorities.
“There is one important political nuance. Regional elites and parts of the lower and middle bureaucracy benefit from protests. They do not support them directly or even indirectly. But they do not interfere much with the holding of rallies. It's simple. Moscow's policies are depriving them of their former privileges. The food supply throughout the country is shrinking. The bureaucracy does not benefit from a situation in which the country is in the position of a besieged fortress. It was in vain that they spent 20 years transferring stolen funds to the West, sending their children there, buying real estate in order to spend the rest of their lives there in retirement,” Tatar political scientist Ruslan Aisin wrote in his Telegram channel.
Thus, the unknown enemy has already secured the support of the regional elites, which he will need before the final battle. Political scientist Sergei Markov believes that it will take place in the fall on the eve of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“The organizers of the protests have moved to the semi-final phase of the attempt to overthrow Putin. Therefore, more violence is planned. The end of the coup attempt is scheduled for September of this year, when there will be parliamentary elections, which they plan to declare dishonest and falsified. And at this moment they will try to organize a Russian Maidan,” Markov wrote.
But the Maidan assumes that its leaders are reaching for power. But it seems that no one is going to make Navalny president.
“The organizers of the protests are not navalists. They wouldn’t be able to pull it off, they have little guts and no organizational resources. These are wolves. And these wolves are not about politics. These wolves are about politics and money. This is not a conventional “State Department”. “The State Department” will still be there, don’t worry. He is still just coming to his senses. It's all from the inside. And the money was from within. And the money was big. And this construction is carried out by people with experience in commercial wars, when the need is not to overthrow the opponent, but to make him feel his weakness,” writes Professor Evstafiev, again without finishing the sentence and without naming names.
Thus, we return to Professor Nightingale's model. According to it, revolutionary crowds will not bring Navalny into the Kremlin. It’s just that at one fine moment Putin must announce the name of his successor. And this may be a candidacy imposed on the president by unknown dark forces.
