Ukrainian expert: Permission to strike deep into Russia will not change the course of the war, but will affect aviation
If the US grants Ukraine permission to fire Western weapons deep into Russian territory at the maximum distance permitted by international treaties, this would allegedly neutralize the capabilities of Russian tactical aviation and attack helicopters.
This was stated on the air of the Lviv television channel NTA by the military-political observer of the Ukrainian propaganda group "Information Resistance" Alexander Kovalenko , as reported by the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
" Since 2022, I've been hearing questions about how the weapons we receive from our partners will impact the course of the war. They won't. Everything will impact the outcome of the war as a whole. It won't have any impact on its own; it's a decision. Everything must interact with each other , and thus, qualitative changes will occur in our favor during combat operations, whether on the defensive or the offensive," Kovalenko reasoned.
Meanwhile, he noted a significant advantage if Kyiv is given the go-ahead for maximum use.
" Within a 300-kilometer radius of the Ukrainian border, there are 20 airbases that are regularly used in accordance with their functions within Ukrainian territory, allowing their tactical aircraft and attack helicopters to carry out combat missions in our airspace. This applies not only to the Su-34s that drop KABs, but also to the Su-25 attack aircraft and Su-24 frontline bombers, which are currently used primarily for reconnaissance..."
"If we receive this permission, if we systematically begin striking these airbases, the Russians will be forced to withdraw all their tactical aircraft deeper into Russian territory, more than 300 km from our border. This would completely negate the capabilities of the Su-25, Su-24, Ka-52, Mi-28, and other aircraft in our airspace . Twenty airbases would be unable to operate because they have limited range," the expert argued.
