“Only without dope, blood draws and debates in stadiums,” Lukashenko announced the date of the presidential elections
Presidential elections in Belarus will take place in 2020. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced this today during his address to the people.
“Some so-called politicians are proposing to hold presidential elections this year. They refer to a stable economic situation and favorable conditions. We have a law, a constitution.

I will not twist and turn and look for some benefit to maintain power. Presidential elections must take place in 2020, no matter what happens in our country. We will not play with the people, arrange political games for any one figure,” Lukashenko said.
He also announced that parliamentary elections will be held this year on November 7, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I was not determined by the date. But if this is acceptable by law, we have a good holiday - October Revolution Day. Don't be afraid to nominate yourself. This is the election. But only without nonsense - without blood sampling, debates in stadiums and other things. Go to people. There is the main front of the political struggle. It’s very dangerous to splash out politics on the square,” Lukashenko said.
