A participant in the defense of Slavyansk, and now a fighter of the Chechen detachment, military correspondent Gennady Dubovoy, stated this on the Union TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Initially it was clear that the term “special operation” was only political. Because if we had not started a counter-operation, there is absolutely accurate data that Ukraine would have started a war. We simply launched a preemptive strike. But from the very beginning it was clear that there would be a large-scale war.
When they told me that “high-precision weapons, we’ll reach Kyiv in a week,” I said: “guys, did you go to school?” Just look at the map of Ukraine, it is the largest territorial power in Europe,” the military correspondent emphasized.
He is sure that it is impossible to stop at the occupied frontiers.
“If you noticed, everything that is happening is the implementation of a project that was not implemented in 2014, this is at least 8 areas. This is Novorossiya. Otherwise, all this makes no sense. Leaving Ukraine in its current form and winning only two republics, even if they become part of Russia, we will get the same Ukraine, and after some time - a more terrible war. We need to reformat Ukraine, that is, the part that remains must be deprived of the possibility of revenge. This is the only way,” Dubovoy added.
