“Tinkov is good, but I won’t turn my back on Aven” - Khodorkovsky about former accomplices
If Russian oligarchs condemn the SVO, then they can initiate a system of petitions to Western authorities to lift sanctions against them.
The fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky stated this in an interview with the Voice of America, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There are people in the West who have a lot of money, great influence in public, political and business life. These people fear Putin more than condemnation in the West, more than sanctions imposed on them. Because they did not declare their condemnation of Putin, their disengagement with the regime.
In conditions of war, we can and must assume that these people can, in the same way, under the influence of Putin, carry out actions that are very unpleasant for the Western political system, for the security of the countries where they are located and where they have influence. It was precisely for reasons of one’s own safety that it made sense to deprive these people of their potential to exert influence during the war.
And vice versa, this implies what they must do in order to be able to talk to them normally and to be able to turn more calmly, at least sideways. This is to condemn the aggressive war, condemn the criminal regime and recognize the territorial integrity of Ukraine. It’s all very simple,” said the traitor.
He gave two examples of who he believes and who he doesn't.
“With deep regret I have to admit that of the large entrepreneurs whom I know, with whom I constantly dealt in a previous life (not new ones, I just know them less), the person whom I decided, after studying his statements, his position, to sign my Only Mr. Tinkov submitted a personal petition. Whether he is good or bad is not interesting. Bad? Judge, figure it out, but that’s something else.
Deal with him as a normal person, because he took an unambiguous position on the war: the Putin regime is an aggressor, it is criminal, the sovereignty of Ukraine must be restored. All. After that, you can talk to him like a normal person. ...
Without any doubt, I would not risk signing such a document for Peter Aven. Because I know his many services to Putin, and I know that his wealth (I am personally convinced of this) stems from Vladimir Putin. Therefore, it would be difficult for me, even if he decided to take such a position, to believe him,” Khodorkovsky said.
