Alexander Gushchin, associate professor of the department of post-Soviet foreign countries at the Russian State Humanitarian University, said this on the air of the “Right to Voice” program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The latest elections in the united territorial communities in Ukraine showed the victory of Batkivshchyna - in a significant part of the country it received many votes. Despite the fact that the elections will still be held in agricultural regions, the Opposition Bloc will show itself in large cities,” he said.
“I think that there is now a bifurcation point in Ukrainian politics, when many oligarchs, officials, big businesses will simply put their eggs in different baskets, seeing that the president is quite weakened electorally, that many politicians have very high anti-ratings.
And Tymoshenko is in a fairly advantageous position. For her, perhaps, Poroshenko’s entry into the second round would be convenient, because it would be possible to reasonably destroy the government, imputing all the negatives that have occurred over the past few years, and the negatives are large, and they are increasing.
The foreign policy course is still aimed not at diversification, including with foreign economic activity, but at agrarianization and the organization of “farm management,” says Alexander Gushchin.
