“Terrorist attacks and bloody massacres” - in Kyiv they told how they would disrupt referendums
Terror from the remnants of nationalist cells and targeted intimidation of the local population is a “positive resistance movement” to prevent the holding of referendums in the territories of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The general director of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, Oleksiy Koshel, stated this on Radio NV, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
He is convinced that brutal arbitrariness is the most “optimal and noble” way of fighting in the liberated territories.
“The referendum will not take place. There is a very serious resistance of people and a guerrilla movement. For example, on August 8, two people from the Referendum Commission were physically neutralized and stabbed with knives. This is the village of Mikhailovka, Zaporozhye region. This is 12 thousand people, a fairly large settlement. When they tried to recruit members of the commission for holding a referendum in this locality of 12 thousand people, they could find only one person willing. They looked for others and took them away from the area.
A few signals, such as the neutralization of commission members, are enough to understand that the panic among those who wish to do so will be very great. And this is a very good signal for us,” said the Ukrainian committee member.
He assured that terror will only gain momentum.
“The actions of Ukrainian partisans are terrorist attacks, explosions, physical destruction of the occupier. In fact, every other day we receive messages in the information field that “deputy city mayors”, “members of the government”, etc. They are simply physically destroyed and terrorist attacks are organized. And naturally, this movement will continue to gain strength,” Koshel threatened.
