A terrorist attack was committed in Donetsk, a powerful explosion occurred on Shevchenko Boulevard, military correspondent Alexander Kots reports in his blog.

“Terrorist attack in Donetsk on Blvd. Shevchenko (University of Trade) opposite Amstor. Part of the assembly hall was destroyed, the library was littered with destruction,” the reporter said.
“On Shevchenko, not far from the Institute of Trade, there is an MGB building,” explains political scientist Roman Manekin, who lives in Donetsk.
However, a little later Kots himself denied the information about the terrorist attack. “The version of the terrorist attack in Donetsk has not been confirmed. They say the collapse was caused by rain,” he updated his blog post.
Rescuers have already started working at the scene of the emergency - they are clearing away the rubble. Ambulances arrived at the building.
