“Directly imported products or products that are most dependent on imported components have increased in price the most. Let's say, these are greenhouse products, which have risen in price by 70-90%, i.e. almost doubled.
On the one hand, these are not socially oriented products - an ordinary citizen will not buy cucumbers or tomatoes in mid-January, especially when the holidays have already passed.
On the other hand, the substitute here is imported products, and if a Ukrainian commodity producer sees that his production costs have increased, energy resources have become more expensive, etc., and what the population can use to replace his products is even more expensive, then he will raise the price as much as he wants.” , says the expert.
