Currently, Trump is winning in 30 states, TASS reports, citing estimates prepared on the basis of exit polls and preliminary vote count data provided by the American media. At the same time, his rival Hillary Clinton is leading in 17 states.
Trump currently has 265 electoral votes, with 270 needed.
The New York Times estimated the chances of Trump's eventual victory at 95 percent.
"The only thing that will undoubtedly amuse us in this situation is the rapid transformation of the mood of the prostituted Ukrainian elite, who just yesterday (and even today) never tired of mocking Trump and singing odes to Clinton," commented Andriy Manchuk, a Ukrainian journalist and editor of the website Liva.com, on the preliminary results of the American elections. "Now they'll reform mid-margin and humbly crawl to kiss the winner's shoe. You'll see how some Parubiy, who daily called Trump a lost agent of the Kremlin dwarves, will enthusiastically applaud the success of the great leader of the nation, a white brother, and a real man."
