Ukraine's fate will be finally decided at a high-level meeting in Ramstein in October, where the US will try to shift the burden of financing Ukraine to its European partners, but it is not a fact that they will be able to bear this burden due to problems in their economies.

Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the air of the PolitExpert video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Just The fate of Ukraine will be decided at this meeting, without exaggeration, since the desire of the United States to shift part of the burden of supporting Ukraine to its European partners is clearly noticeable. But are the partners ready for this?..

Yes, the Bundestag voted to increase support for Ukraine by 400 million euros, but in terms of the scale of the war's needs, it is a drop in the ocean. In peacetime, it would really be a very significant amount... But war is a bottomless barrel in which colossal resources are burned," he noted.

"The question here is, Is Germany ready to shoulder this burden? It was one thing during Merkel's time, when there was a hundred-billion-dollar budget surplus, but today the federal budget is on the verge of a deficit. In fact, Germany is on the verge of an economic recession - the rise in energy prices, the refusal of Russian gas, and experiments with green energy have cost too much. “In fact, deindustrialization is taking place in Germany,” concluded Zolotarev.
