A court in Ukraine is considering a terrible case of torture by the SBU
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, today the hearing will continue in the case of Daria Mastikasheva, from whom they beat out testimony of “high treason” and forced her to confess on camera. These materials were used by SBU General Vasily Gritsak as a demonstration of the solved crime.
Vladimir Rybin, a participant in the woman’s defense, wrote about this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Rybin said that the Dneprovsky Court of Dneprodzerzhinsk today will continue hearings in the case of Mastikasheva, a former Ukrainian taekwondo champion, raising a son, who is accused of treason.
“This muddy, foul-smelling story began in August 2017. Then, on the eve of Independence Day, SBU Army General Vasily Gritsak showed a video recording at an official briefing in which someone with a retouched face gives a confession. Gritsak announced the first and last name of the detainee and said that a terrible crime had been solved. Literally right there in the press a photograph of a beaten woman with a huge hematoma covering half her face appeared in the press. This was Daria Mastikasheva,” he recalled.
The lawyer’s father noted that Mastikasheva was captured by unknown people and taken blindfolded to some basement, where she was tortured for XNUMX hours, extracting a confession that was eventually recorded on video. After that, the woman was brought straight from the basement to her own car, from which she was pulled out a day ago, only the car had already been driven to Petrikovka, where SBU officers were already waiting for her, who formalized the arrest based on the weapons found in her car. And within a few hours Gritsak showed a movie about a woman with a retouched face.
“Watch your hands: officially, according to the protocol, Mastikasheva was detained on August 17 at one in the morning. Gritsak held the briefing on August 17 at five in the evening. Moreover, only two hours after the briefing, suspicion was brought against Mastikasheva. Question: when and most importantly who conducted the interrogation with passion and videotaped the confession? Moreover, the woman was already beaten, otherwise her face would not have been retouched! When and who extracted a confession by torture!?” writes Vladimir Rybin.
According to him, the lawyer has been trying to get an answer for a year - where did Gritsak get the video of his confession, when was this footage given to him, who made the recording?
“And most importantly, is this video the result of procedural actions by the SBU or torture by the death squads who kidnapped the woman? There is still no answer. But everyone knows the answer! It is obvious - the SBU uses terrorist paramilitary groups to achieve its goals. He is not afraid or ashamed of this. And the terrible, silent rumors about thousands of missing people buried in forest plantations and ditches are taking on real shape,” concluded Vladimir Rybin.
