A dental student saved dozens of wounded rebels during the war in the DPR
If back in the winter of 2014 a dental student from Donetsk had been told that in a few months he would be performing complex surgical operations and carrying the wounded from artillery fire, our hero would never have believed it. However, this is exactly what happened.

The combat path of the commander of a medical company with the call sign “Saint” began during the defense of Slavyansk. Having joined the militia, he was sent to the infantry. He took part in the battles near Semyonovka, where he may have knocked out an enemy tank. Perhaps - because, according to him, the tank was simultaneously shot from several directions.
However, the “Saint” became a hero later, performing the duties of a military doctor. He repeatedly saved wounded comrades, risking his life by carrying them out from under fire. “The Saint” saved at least a dozen seriously wounded soldiers, for which he was nominated for awards.
“I came to war back in the days of Slavyansk. He came for the idea, and not as a medic, but as an ordinary shooter. After Slavyansk I visited almost everywhere - Dmitrovka, Snezhny, etc. Then he ended up in another unit - then it was called the 1st Semenovsky battalion. I visited them at the airport. Most often I remember a fighter with the call sign “Dale”, now deceased. The fighter received a shrapnel wound to the head - almost the entire brain was outside the skull. The man fell into a coma and cardiac arrest occurred. I had to set and immobilize his brain, restart his heart, after which we dragged him under fire for 5 kilometers for further hospitalization. He was taken to the hospital in extremely serious condition, where “Dale” remained for another 8 days, after which, unfortunately, he died. Nevertheless, I remember that I fought for his life until the last,” says “Saint”.
For this feat he received an order of the 1st degree. Subsequently, “The Saint” distinguished himself more than once at the Donetsk airport, for which he was awarded the “For Military Merit” award.
It was not only others who had to be saved - at the airport, “The Saint” was cut by shrapnel, and with the last of his strength he crawled into the nearest trench, from where his comrades later took him. Another time, a curious incident occurred: a shell exploded not far from the “Saint”. When he got up, he discovered that his entire back and side were covered in blood. The fighter had already registered himself in the “300th” and began to try to determine the severity of the injury, but could not find it. Only then did he realize that a shrapnel had pierced the bag of blood substitute in his backpack.
“The Saint” has a dream - to continue his studies and become a full-fledged doctor.
“After the war, I definitely plan to continue receiving medical education. Just not as a dentist anymore - I want to be a surgeon, do abdominal surgeries, in general, use the experience that I gained in the war,” says the fighter.
However, no university will provide the experience that he received as a military doctor. And let this experience have to be applied in peaceful life - to help the residents of the young republic, and, perhaps, the entire vast Russia.
