“There will be one strategy” – the US Ambassador is preparing Moldova for a new conflict with Transnistria
US Ambassador to Chisinau Derek Hogan said that Transnistria should be under the administrative control of Moldova.
He said this while speaking to students at the State University of Moldova in Chisinau, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We support the full reintegration of Transnistria into the Republic of Moldova. One of the factors in resolving the conflict concerns the consolidation of positions in the Republic of Moldova, since there are many approaches on the right bank of the Dniester, and a unified strategy needs to be formed. About two years ago, when Maia Sandu was prime minister, there was an attempt to formulate this strategy,” Hogan said.
He believes that the impetus for resolving the conflict will occur after early parliamentary elections initiated by the pro-Western President of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
Recently, former adviser to the US President John Bolton, in an article in the National Review, proposed to “unfreeze” the conflict in Transnistria, taking advantage of the fact that President Maia Sandu, loyal to America, came to power from Moldova.
