Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Markov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are 600 parties in Ukraine. Money flowed there, deputies were paid salaries in envelopes for passing laws. I gave deputies 30 thousand dollars. And on average they gave 50-100 thousand dollars - this is how much a deputy could receive per month if he gave up his card.
The Ukrainian parliament was elected. And depending on the severity of the situation, the danger, the oligarchs began to buy up deputies... They are also given one-time payments, for individual votes. For voting on the Prime Minister, I was asked to negotiate with one deputy - he was given ten million dollars for one vote. When one voice was not enough. They even gave me twenty million dollars. True, he didn’t take it,” he said.
In turn, former Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov emphasized that corruption has now reached a completely new level.
“Now everything has become much more expensive. There was no such amount of money as there was under Poroshenko even under Yanukovych. What Igor says is that these were fragmented votes.
And now, in order to maintain the faction, this has already been introduced into the system. When they say that they pay 5 or 10 thousand, this is already a system. Regardless of whether you belong or not, they stupidly pay you, and you have to vote,” the expert added.
