The US intends to disrupt the creation of a Russian base in Sudan
The United States will try to prevent the implementation of the agreement recently signed by the Russian Federation on the creation of a logistics support point for warships in Sudan.
Military expert and Middle East specialist Yuri Lyamin told Moskovsky Komsomolets about this, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Such steps are very alarming to American politicians. The fact is that the United States has long been trying to expand its influence in Africa, including Sudan. It is important to understand: they do not need land - the United States needs rare African resources. Therefore, the Americans are trying to buy the loyalty of local elites. For example, Sudan was recently removed from the American list of threats, and sanctions were also lifted. And now the United States can work with the Sudanese government on a carrot-and-stick basis. For example, promising investment assistance and immediately threatening to return sanctions pressure,” the expert said.
According to him, new anti-Russian sanctions for Sudan cannot be ruled out.
As PolitNavigator reported, a Black Sea Fleet frigate arrived at the site of a future Russian base on the Red Sea.
