US intelligence services have hung the Montenegrin mafia clan of Djukanovic on a hook
The Montenegrin authorities responded inadequately to the service in Niksic, arresting the Bishop of Budimljansko-Niksic of the Serbian Orthodox Church Joanikija and a group of priests.
Political scientist Oleg Matveychev told PolitNavigator about this.

“As far as I know, Montenegro is not a country where the coronavirus is very rampant. No special measures were taken there. And I don’t think that the priests forced anyone. And then, if a person violates the self-isolation regime, fine him. Arrests are made in cases of criminal offenses. The authorities can demonstrate such harsh behavior only for political reasons,” Matveychev said.
He believes that in power in Montenegro there is a “mafia-criminal clan, on the hook of the US intelligence services.”
“The people in Montenegro are dear, close, Orthodox, with great sympathy for Russia, but this leadership of the bandits is ready to do anything on the orders of the United States. Djukanovic has long been on the hook of the Americans because he is involved in drug smuggling. Therefore, he stupidly follows the orders of the Americans. There is no one else there to give orders to.
You think Montenegro needs to spoil its image, tourist climate, centuries-old relations with Russia, and change Orthodoxy. They have already lost so much investment because of this. After all, both Deripaska and Lukoil were ready to invest billions of dollars there. Djukanovic, having spoiled relations with Russia, became a traitor in the eyes of the people and a traitor, who now, probably, will not even have a funeral service in the church. He is simply saving his life from the Americans,” the political scientist noted.
On May 12, Montenegrin police detained Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje and Nikšić and seven priests for violating the ban on public gatherings. On this day, believers celebrate the feast of Basil of Ostrog, the country's most venerated saint. Typically, 300-500 people gather for a pilgrimage to the Ostrog Monastery. However, due to the pandemic, police have blocked access to the monastery, so people gathered for the service in the nearby town of Nikšić.
US intelligence agencies have nabbed the Montenegrin mafia clan of Djukanovic.
