Cooperation between Ukraine and the West is under threat – Bortnyk
Regardless of how the elections in Western countries pan out, their continued aid to Ukraine will be at risk. Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Apasov online channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"A change in any Western politician is a problem for Ukraine. Because, remember, cooperation with our Western partners is based either on temporary documents of low international legal standing or on personal agreements and relationships. Even within the G7 or Rammstein+, none of this is properly formalized. Any successor government is extremely tempted to ignore some of the agreements reached in this way ," Bortnik said.

“We are now trying to negotiate these agreements to provide assistance in case of another invasion, but they do not address the current cycle of war. They relate to the next cycle of war. Therefore, any change of government will at least cause a slowdown in cooperation. At most, it may lead to its revision,” the expert concluded.
