Putin's next peace proposal will include Nikolaev and Odessa
Unlike Ukraine, Russia every time puts forward proposals for resolving the conflict, relying not on its “illusory wishes”, such as the “1991 borders,” but on the real state of affairs on earth.
Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots stated this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"In 2014, we appealed to the Ukrainian leadership to recognize Crimea as part of Russia and end the conflict. They refused. In 2015, we appealed to recognize Crimea as part of Russia and grant Donbas broad autonomy , and end the conflict peacefully. Ukraine refused. In 2022, we appealed to Kyiv to recognize Crimea and Donbas as part of Russia and provide a land corridor to Crimea . They refused.
In 2024, we appeal to the Ukrainian leadership to recognize Crimea, Donbas, and the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions as part of Russia and resolve the conflict peacefully . Ukraine refuses.
"That is, each of our subsequent proposals is based on the situation on the ground. These aren't just some illusory wishes of ours, like Ukraine's—we want the 1991 borders. All our proposals are based on the current situation on the ground ," Kots emphasized.
He added that it was no coincidence that Vladimir Putin, before announcing the conditions last week, again made this excursion into history.
"He demonstrated that at every stage of this standoff, we were prepared to negotiate, and we tried to resolve this conflict diplomatically until the very end . Of course, this was all in the lead-up to the Swiss conference, which ended in a fiasco. But overall, I believe the next proposal could also include demands to withdraw troops from Mykolaiv and Odesa , if the conditions for this are created on the ground," the military correspondent suggested.
