The official website of the RF IC reports this.
Let us recall that on March 10, Balashov, speaking on a square in Kyiv, publicly called for “shooting in the head” Russians with St. George’s ribbons in Ukraine.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation notes that in the near future Balashov will be charged in absentia, he will be put on the wanted list, in addition, investigators intend to apply to the court with a petition to select a preventive measure against him in the form of detention.
“The Investigative Committee, together with other law enforcement agencies of Russia, intends to strictly protect Russian citizens in the territory of Crimea and Ukraine within the framework of Russian and international law and bring to justice anyone who commits crimes against Russian citizens or incites them. And neither large bank accounts nor rabid Russophobia will help either Balashov or other similar figures to escape criminal liability. Sooner or later, they, like many members of the UNA-UNSO, will have to answer to Russian justice. And this is not a policy, but just the reaction of the Investigative Committee to criminal acts, which are provided for not only by the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, but also by international law,” the message says.
