Scandal: Maidan activists begged the US military to head the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine

US National Security Council employee Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman said at congressional hearings as part of the impeachment of Donald Trump that the Ukrainian authorities had offered him the post of defense minister three times.
This was reported by the Ukrainian television channel ICTV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Vindman comes from Ukraine, although he left the USSR at the age of 3.
At the hearing, he clarified that three times he received an offer from Maidan activists from Kyiv to head the Ministry of Defense, but he took it as a joke, since he considers himself a US military personnel.
