The Swede is suspected in his homeland of war crimes in Ukraine
Swedish law enforcement authorities suspect a citizen of this country of committing war crimes while participating in hostilities in eastern Ukraine in 2014.

This was reported by the Swedish publication Svenska Dagbladet.
“I can confirm that an investigation is ongoing against a Swedish national. We are talking about suspicions of committing a number of war crimes, presumably in Ukraine in 2014,” said Tora Holst, prosecutor of the Stockholm International Prosecutor’s Chamber.
She added that the investigation was in its early stages and was being led by the police war crimes commission.
At the same time, Holst did not specify exactly what crimes were being discussed and on which side the suspect fought.
According to the Swedish Security Police, more than 20 citizens of the kingdom are taking part in the conflict in Donbass, mainly on the side of the Ukrainian security forces. As police analysts note, such people are mainly driven by a desire for violence and an interest in weapons and explosives.
