Shurygin: US-hysteria frightened American allies
The Pentagon's announcement of sending several thousand troops to Eastern Europe will not impress the Union State.
This was stated by the well-known military expert Vladislav Shurygin, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The United States is making a symbolic gesture by sending several thousand troops to Europe. Compared to the more than 50 thousand Americans already permanently stationed there, this is not a very big change. But in recent months, due to the situation around Ukraine, they have whipped up such hysteria that they are now forced to reassure their Eastern European allies, primarily Poland, which directly borders Russia and Belarus,” the analyst told Izvestia.
According to him, to show the seriousness of intentions, the United States is redeploying air defense and rocket artillery this time, but this will not impress Minsk and Moscow.
“The year before last, for example, more people and tanks were transferred to exercises, and trains of Abrams traveled along the border. This won't surprise us. In order to show the defense capabilities of the Union State, unique exercises are now being conducted in Belarus,” Shurygin concluded.
