The headquarters of the Ukrainian security forces in Debaltsevo is surrounded: panic and chaos began, - journalist
Kyiv, February 17 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The situation in Debaltsevo already threatens to repeat Ilovaiskaya and DAP. Oliver Carol, a journalist for the British publication The Independent, reports this from Artemovsk, writes Voice of America.

With reference to a military chaplain who managed to leave Debaltseve, Carol reports that the situation in Debaltseve is catastrophic, and the headquarters of the ATO forces is completely surrounded.
“I just spoke with Father John, a Ukrainian military chaplain, who until recently was in Debaltseve. He says that the situation is catastrophic, and the headquarters is now completely surrounded. Ivan said that the troops surrounded at the headquarters would not be able to hold out without additional support. It’s not clear where it might come from,” says Carol.
“Despite months of planning, we see a situation similar to Ilovaisk and Donetsk airport: paralysis, chaos and potentially great bloodshed,” the journalist added.
Carol also noted that there are approximately 2-5 thousand civilians in Debaltsevo. Since Friday, February 8, no tangible humanitarian aid has reached the cities.
