Sevastopol deputies lowered the transport tax rate by 3 rubles
Sevastopol, November 11 (PolitNavigator, Svetlana Ivanova) — Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol on Tuesday adopted the law “On Transport Tax” in the second reading.

This is stated in the decision of the session.
Transport tax rates are set depending on the power of the vehicle and range from 5,00 to 75,00 rubles per horsepower per year.
The law, as amended, provides for the following tax rates per year: cars with power up to 100 horsepower - 5,00 rubles/hp, 100-150 - 7,00 rubles/hp, 150-200 - 25,00, 200 rub/hp, 250-75,00 -250 rub/hp, over 100,00 – XNUMX rub/hp.
Deputy Vyacheslav Aksenov, who spoke, drew attention to the fact that the amendments made to the law regarding the reduction of rates make it possible to establish “a more preferential tax for two categories of owners of vehicles with low engine power.”
A categorical protest against the proposed tax rates was expressed by LDPR deputy Ilya Zhuravlev, pointing out that the base rates do not take into account the “low material well-being” of city residents.
“The law, the purpose of which is to replenish the city budget... does not have a clear system for forming the tax burden. By increasing the tax burden for vehicle owners, we risk increasing the high price level in the city,” Zhuravlev said.
Despite the objections, 18 out of 23 deputies present at the meeting voted for the adoption of the law.
