“The volume of the city budget for next year, according to preliminary data, will be 16,8 billion rubles. Revenue volume: 6,7 billion rubles. Interbudgetary transfers – 10,1 billion rubles, including subsidies – 8,5 billion rubles. The budget is balanced in terms of income and expenses and does not contain debt obligations,” reports the press service of the Sevastopol government.
The government notes that the budget will be socially oriented and deficit-free. 70% of expenses are planned for the social sector. In the near future, the draft law will be submitted to the Legislative Assembly for consideration.
For clarity, we note that the budget of Kaliningrad is 47 billion 794 million rubles, the budget of Novorossiysk is 5 billion 992 million (the budget of Sevastopol, as mentioned above, is 16 billion 800 million rubles).
Sevastopol, like Kaliningrad, is cut off from the Russian mainland, and, like Novorossiysk, is a port on the Black Sea. The three cities' populations differ, but not in such dramatic proportions as their budgets.
Sevastopol will receive a budget smaller than Kaliningrad's, but larger than Novorossiysk's.
