Serbian moratorium will freeze several exercises with NATO
The moratorium that Serbia announced on any joint military exercises with other states will largely affect NATO countries and not the CSTO.
Political scientist Oleg Bondarenko told PolitNavigator about this.

“Serbia has taken a moratorium on participation in any exercises for six months. And according to the schedule, she has more exercises with Western countries than with the CSTO, Russia and Belarus. So this will affect exercises with NATO to a greater extent. What can we do, Serbia finds itself in a very difficult situation, and it has to maneuver,” Bondarenko said.
He believes that the refusal to conduct joint exercises is not a retreat from the existing Russian-Serbian relations.
“In fairness, what claims can we make? Russia initially said that it had nothing against European integration. This is Moscow's official position. It was necessary to initially declare something different. Now it’s stupid to be offended,” Bondarenko said.
